Personal Information

Since 2005, I am Professor of Fluids Mechanics & Applied Mathematics at the French Institute for Applied Sciences (INSA) in Rouen, France.

My main research interests deal with numerical modeling & analysis, asymptotic modeling and scientific computing.

At LIED, present or recent applications deal with

Ecological Economics (MeetMadys Project, with AFD & ESSEC). and Biological Networks (PACS Project, with Paris VI and Caen Universities.);

  • Buoyant destabilization in wet granular media & non-Newtonian flows
  • Eyeglass-framed thermoelectric micro-converter analysis & design (with BioPolis, Valencia, Spain).
  • Coupled dynamics of heat & mass transfer, micro-scale flow and particle transport in metal foams

(with QUT Brisbane & Arts&Métiers ParisTech);

Me and my team develop the following solvers:

  • DYCO, for simulating coupled potentials stock/flow approach network dynamics.
  • HALLEGRO for solving fully compressible subsonic reactive Navier-Stokes equations (HPC using MPI).
  • FLAMEX for solving propagating fronts evolution equation modeling, in turbulent 2D and 3D flows (spectral/ETDRK methods).

We also make use of adapted versions of the OpenFOAM® software.
